Masterclasses

Throughout the term, the Bytown teachers and students come together for a fun and collaborative masterclass. Masterclasses are group workshops where several students take a turn performing a piece they are currently working on and are coached on it in a group setting. By workshopping a piece in front of a supportive audience, both the singing participant and the listeners are able to gain valuable insights into aspects of singing and performance in a fun, exploratory, and stimulating atmosphere! Each masterclass has a different area of focus.

Masterclasses are held at St John the Evangelist Church, 154 Somerset St. W. between 1-3PM.

Students who participate in our Masterclasses will be collaborating with one of our studio pianists, Valerie Dueck & Aude Urbancic.

Bytown Students: Audit - $10; Perform - $25 + $25 for pianist

Non-Bytown Students: Audit - $15; Perform - $30 + $30 for pianist
